Floating

"Floating"  is the process of filing down sharp edges and points that develop on horse's teeth as they wear down. This process helps improve chewing efficiency and comfort. The procedure uses a tool called a "float" and manually the teeth are filed down. A dental speculum is used to hold the horse's mouth open during the dental procedure.
